A Socity is registerd under Socity Registration act 1972 in m.p.this society is operating a school.& there reciepts are 16 lacs during the financial year 2007-08.& after deducting all expenses surplus is 45000.
now my query is that is this society has to file a return ?& if applicable then how much tax liability will be imposed. this society is operating school only. not any other activity.

yes, Society needs to file a return. Please also cjeck that society is registered under section 12A or not.
