23 November 2010 An Assesse had filed his income tax return last year manually. But this year he is under TAx audit so online return need to be filed. He is already registered in Income tax site but forgot his password. what is the remedy. Please its urgent.......

23 November 2010 Pl go to the site https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/portal/register.do?screen=showforgotpwd
Enter the PAN in the appearing screen. Click OK. Reset password in the coming screen and proceed. Pl give last year's manually filed return's acknowlegement number in the column in which the system is asking last year's e-filed returns acknowledgement number.
