08 June 2010 If the company take some property for its employees residential purpose only. agreement is with company and land lord whether service tax is applicable on this in terms of clause used as property used for furtherance of business??

your prompt response is required.

In my view, it is outside the purview of service tax. need confirmation.

08 June 2010 I think service tax will be levied... Landlord will add service tax on the rented amount to the company....Company wont add service tax to employees. and i think in this case employees have to paid nothing for the stay.. It will be considered as Perqs too...
