We are providing machines on rental basis. This activity comes under which service category. For this service is liable or not? And VAT also applicable for it?

Service tax attracts under the category 'supply of tangible goods' if right of possession and effective
control of such machinery is not transferred to the lessee. No VAT.
If possession and control rests with the lessee, VAT attracts under 'right to use of goods. NO SERVICE TAX.
