CAN U TELL ME SIR, SERVICE TAX APPLICABLE ON RENT ON PLANT & MACHINERY?

It is likely to be covered under "Supply of Tangible Goods for use" service, effective from 01.06.07.
Caution : - If effective possession and control is given to the hirer, service tax is not applicable. In such cases, VAT is applicable, treating it as transfer of right to use.
