Removal of goods for export

09 September 2012 We are manufacturing excisable goods and cleared them for export to a merchant exporter.
we have registered under central excise as manufacturer.
can we take benefit of SSI under notification no. 8/2003 for the same.
or what other options available to us.

09 September 2012 Not able to understand your question ! Removal for export is without payment of duty after following the procedure laid down. The amount of clearance is not required to be included for the purpose of 8/2003.

15 September 2012 8/2003 is related to home consumption only (including export to bhutan also, either direct export or through merchant exporter.

for export clearance by excise registered units they have to follow notification no 42/2001 CE(NT) without payment of duty

in case of direct exports assesee has option to execute B-1 Bond or LUT, but in case of merchant exporter merchant exporter has to execute B-1

ARE-1 procedure is common for both
