19 May 2009 VAT paid on procurement for capital goods by an EPCG unit can be availed for setting the the vat liability on sales of goods.

Please clarify ASAP.

20 May 2009 The VAT deduction / credit for the VAT paid on eleigible machinery wouldbe available even if one is under the EPCG scheme as long as the VAT has been charged in the bill.
