21 March 2011 Whether TDS has to be deducted in case of aduit conduct by exchanges on the members? If audit is conduct by NSE even though TDS is deducted

Is TDS to be deducted on bandwith services provided by Telecommunication Service providers

21 March 2011 In case 1 TDS is required to be deducted u/s 194J as amount is paid as professional fees.

In 2nd case TDS deduction not required. [Ref: CIT v. Estel Communications (P) Ltd., decided on 7 March(2008) & Skycell Communications Ltd. v. Deputy CIT[2001] 251 ITR 53 (Mad.)]
