Regarding negative list of service tax

08 December 2015 We r the manufacturer of socks and also using some jobwork outside.we r using job work of our sister concern.is that firm will be liable for service tax registration if job work service of our that sister concern increases above the service tax limit.or it comes under negative list because our concern is doing job work for our other firm which is manufacturer.

09 December 2015 It comes under negative list being manufacturing activity for which excise duty will be payable by the manufacturer.

10 December 2015 NEGATIVE LIST MAI HAI BUT SAMNE VALE PARTY JO HUMARE LIYE JOB WORK KAR RAHE HAI VO TO SERVICE TAX LGA KE BHEGEGE BILL PE N ULTIMATELY TO HUM HE PAY KAR RAHE HAI THEN SERVICE TAX.

11 December 2015 Sir, We r manufacturer so comes in neagative list but the party for the party who is doing job work for us it has to levy service tax on bill. then ultimately we are paying service tax then what is the benefit.I am confused in that.

11 December 2015 You can claim cenvat credit on service tax paid while paying excise duty on final product.
If the principal manufacturer sends goods to job worker under the provisions of cenvat credit Rule 4(5)(a) then job worker is not liable for service tax.

11 December 2015 job worker is our sister concern.if job worker is not liable for service tax then limit of registration in service tax not applicable for sister concern.
