20 February 2012 Dear Sirs,

I filed one of my client return for AY-2011-12 in due date (with in July 31st). But i forgot to send the filed copy to Bangalore with in 120 days. But i sent before two weeks only. I got ackonwledgement from IT dept. What should i do further to get refund(around 30k) immediately.

In case if not send the filed copy to bangalore with in march 2012, what actions will be taken by dept.?

Pls explain clearly.

20 February 2012 Refund will be issued on FIFO method. Out of turn processing of the return is not possible right now.
If IT-V (hard copy)is not forwarded to B'lore upto 31/03/2012, return filed will be treated as 'no return filed'. Chances of getting 142(1)(i) notice is present in that case.

20 February 2012 Not to worry. CBDT has been extended the date of submission of ITR-Verification form to CPC up to 31.3.12

The due date for submission of ITR-V for A.Y. 2011-12 has been extended upto 31.03.2012 or 120 days from the date of upload whichever is later
