Refund of income tax

26 April 2014 Dear Expert
The assessee has filed manual return of a.y 2012-13 with Rs.6000/- refund after due date, without showing proper detail and after that he has filed e-return with proper detail of same assessment year with Rs. 1.85 lacs refund, now his manual return is processed and e-return had also transferred to his jurisdiction from cpc. How could he get refund of Rs.1.85 lacs?

26 April 2014 U will receive intimation u/s 143(1)from IT Dept. which will show ur Refund position and if all the things r ok then within 1 month the Department will send the check to ur postal address or will do NEFT directly to ur bank Account.

27 April 2014 Dear Shamim,

The CPC wont process your refund once the return is transferred to the jurisdictional assessing officer. The AO shall issue you notice under 143(2) to process your return further. You can amend your claims during the assessment.

So please contact the AO at the earliest and carry a copy of the return filed online with you.
