Rectification of belated return

Dear friends..
I have filed a belated return. But there was some error in income declared. As it is belated return, revised return can't be filed. So what is the remedy? Shall i do rectification u/s 154 online? If done so, shall I get any acknowledgement showing corrected income? (Because my client need to show that to banker for loan purpose).
Please anyone give a solution.

you can only correct errors apparent from record through section 154. Any increase or decrease of income won't get covered here.
