Purchase of bonds for avoiding ltcg

23 November 2018 I purchased a residential plot and propose to sell the same.In the connection I wish to know,to get ltcg benefit,I have to invest the entire capital gain received into selected bond,or,i can retain some AMT for my expenses,after paying cg tax.
