Can Profession Tax be deducted from the Salary of Physically Challenged employee, who comes under Sec 80 U category?

Physically Handicap persons as prescribed u/s. 27A of Mahrashtra Profession Tax Act are exempted from payment of tax. No need to deduct Tax by employer if certificate is submitted.

Our Company is in Chennai, Tamilnadu. One of our employees who is physically challenged works in our Client place in Mumbai, Should we deduct Profession Tax from his salary or not?

Provisions of Mah. Prof. tax Act will not be applicable to co. having office out of Maha.
