Problem in filing of belated returns

23 February 2018 Dear All,

One of my friend could not file his GST returns for the month of August onward due to financial problem. Now he made GST payment for the first 2 months and tried to file 3B returns. But while trying to proceed for payment button to set toff liability. System is not allowing. How to solve this issue.

23 February 2018 In GST the system is set up like if we have the issues in the previous month it will not allow to File the return for the current period. Mere payment doesn't conclude the filing, Please go back to your GSTR3B returns system will automatically calculate the late fees to be payable . Pay all the dues & file the return.

23 February 2018 In GSTR 3B no more Late fee from July to September...

So, You will calculate Interest @ 18% p.a on Your Liability then Pay under Payment option (Create Challan). After Paid go to File Your GSTR 3B and Set Off Your Liabilities...

26 February 2018 Dear Gopal,
There was issue in the portal for some period for filing the late return of Aug 2017, The same is resolved recently,
Login to the GST portal and try to file the return as early as possible so that interest will get reduced.
