15 August 2025 You're welcome — and yes, I can guide you step-by-step on how to submit Feedback in AIS (Annual Information Statement) for the incorrect entry. The process is available on the Income Tax e-Filing portal.
Here's how to do it:
✅ Step-by-Step: Submit Feedback on AIS Entry
Step 1: Login to Income Tax Portal
Go to: https://www.incometax.gov.in
Use your PAN, Aadhaar, or registered credentials to log in.
Step 2: Access AIS (Annual Information Statement)
Once logged in:
Click on "Services" in the top menu
Then choose "Annual Information Statement (AIS)"
This will open a new window/tab to the AIS Portal (https://ais.insight.gov.in)
Step 3: View Your AIS
Choose the Financial Year: 2024–25
Click on AIS (not TIS)
Find the Time Deposit section — you’ll see the ₹10,58,000/- entry there.
Step 4: Submit Feedback
On the row showing the ₹10.58 lakhs deposit:
Click the "Provide Feedback" button next to that entry.
Step 5: Choose Appropriate Feedback Type
You'll get several options. In your case, choose:
Information is not fully correct
OR
Information relates to other PAN / person / year
Then explain clearly:
"This time deposit of ₹10,58,000/- does not belong to me. I have not made any such deposit, and my bank account does not show this transaction. Kindly verify the source of the reporting."
Step 6: Submit and Keep Acknowledgement
After submission, you’ll get an Acknowledgment Number.
Save/download the acknowledgment for your records.
🚫 Should You Report in ITR?
No, if this deposit does not belong to you, and you’ve submitted feedback, you should not include it in your ITR.
But do keep records and screenshots in case of any future clarification from the tax department.
If you're not seeing the feedback button, make sure:
You're in the "AIS" tab, not the "TIS"
The entry is expandable — click the small arrow (▶) next to the entry
Use a desktop/laptop browser — mobile may not show the full functionality

18 August 2025 thanx a lot...i have asked my bank to check this.. suppose they give projection/calculation based on my FD (which is quite less than this amount and it might not come to this much amount after the interest also) then do i need to mention this in my ITR? as i am anyways mentioning my interest amount on FD's ?

21 August 2025 The reporting would be for FY 2024-25; so check the FD made/renewed in FY 2024-25. Also check if FD was made in joint name, as bank would report it in all joint holder's PAN.
Report interest income in relevant PAN.

21 August 2025 Thanx..but this will be for specific bank na (as the amount is coming under 1 bank name) ...others will give their seperate amount if they have in the persons name right?

21 August 2025 Yes, all different banks ( & not each branch) would report separately, provided any such entries are to be reported in the FY.
