11 July 2015 A partnership firm registered in 2007 with three partners. Later on in 2009 they made a retirement deed on plain paper without paying any stamp duty.And the same retirement deed is not registered with Registrar of firms.

So whether this retirement deed on Plain paper is valid if they are ready to pay the stamp duty now?

13 July 2015 As per my opinion the same would be valid if they are ready to pay the stamp duty. I think you should get in touch with a good lawyer near your place.

He will guide you regarding the exact procedure for payment of stamp duty and registration.
