part time COP - still salaried employee?

Dear Sir,I'm working as a part time assistant in an audit firm.Now I am considered a salaried employee(P.F dedn is done).Now if i apply for COP , will i continue to be considered an employee or will my status change to a consultant?(i.e will TDS be ded. u/s 192 or 194J).

it would still be 192 only as u will still be a salaried employee only. If u change ur status to consultant then it will become 194J only, not otherwise.

can u exhaustively tell what a CA in part time practice can do...I know attestation isnt allowed..what all other than that?

Everything a CA in whole time Practice can do except any attest function.

still i feel im in the dark...can u give examples? sorry for bothering u so much :) .Now i work under a person looking after Direct taxation. What can i do in that field wit COP ?
