Pan - authorizaton from gazettier -iclass officer

14 February 2012 We have applied for PAN CHANGE for address change of My Director personal PAn Card due to change of office address.

The name on the communication proof attached is not matching with the NAME mention on the pan change/ correction e-from.

We spoked to NSDL Pune who asked to get the document gazetted from class -i officer.

My boss is reluctant to do this as he feels , we can also do it notorised .

Will the NSDL accept this.

Which gazetted officer he should approach.

Pl. let me know ASAP.

I would like to get one more thing regarding this issue . Is is necessary to have the communication address as a office address since he is the director of the company. Can't he have his own address & communication addres same.
Is this not accepted by Income tax dept

14 February 2012 NSDL will not accept notarized papers. However ,Certificate of address signed by
Member of Parliament or Member of
Legislative Assembly or Municipal Councilor
or a Gazetted Officer will be accepted.
Communication address can be residential address as well. If column 5 'O' is filled in NSDL will ask for office address proof.
