11 January 2014 one of the assesee who earn income from developing properties and huge income from real estate business in assessment year 2011-12 but he is not filling within due date and since from now also. he is also having 6 lak tds in his account and his turnover also exeeds tax audit limit. if it dept issue notice(since not issue)wht should we do..can I file u/s 142(1)..is this permissible?????

11 January 2014 Return u/s 143(1) can be filed only when you receive the notice from the department. Since you have not filed the return you should file normal return after payment of due taxes. This return will be regularised after issue of notice u/s 148
