06 March 2010 As finance minister has announced the new tax slab. but there is no clearification regarding women tax payer and sinor citizen so please confirm me whit are the slab for these specilised category

06 March 2010 For AY 2011-12 Income tax slabs & rates

For Male
0 - 160000 = Nil
160001-500000=10%
500001-800000-20%
Above 800000= 30%

For female
0 - 190000 = Nil
190001-500000=10%
500001-800000-20%
Above 800000= 30%

For Senior Citizens
0 - 240000 = Nil
240001-500000=10%
500001-800000-20%
Above 800000= 30%

07 March 2010 Income Tax Slab for AY-2011-12
1. New income tax rates proposed in budget 2010 for senior citizens
In the case of every individual, being a resident in India, who is of the age of sixty-five years or
more at any time during the previous year,
SLAB INCOME TAX RATE
Upto Rs. 2,40,000 Nil.
Rs. 2,40,001 to Rs. 5,00,000 10 per cent.
Rs. 5,00,001 to Rs. 8,00,000 20 per cent.
Above Rs. 8,00,000 30 per cent.
2. INCOME TAX SLAB FOR FEMALE RESIDENT INDIVIDUAL BELOW THE AGE
OF 65 YEARS
In the case of every individual, being a woman resident in India, and below the age of sixty-five
years at any time during the previous year,â€”
SLAB INCOME TAX RATE
Upto Rs. 1,90,000 Nil.
Rs. 1,90,001 to Rs. 5,00,000 10 per cent.
Rs. 5,00,001 to Rs. 8,00,000 20 per cent.
Above Rs. 8,00,000 30 per cent.
3. INCOME TAX SLAB FOR MALE RESIDENT INDIVIDUAL AND HINDU
UNDIVIDED FAMILY (HUF) BELOW THE AGE OF 65 YEARS
In the case of every individual, being a male resident in India, and below the age of sixty-five
years at any time during the previous year,â€”
SLAB INCOME TAX RATE
Upto Rs. 1,60,000 Nil.
Rs. 1,60,001 to Rs. 5,00,000 10 per cent.
Rs. 5,00,001 to Rs. 8,00,000 20 per cent.
Above Rs. 8,00,000 30 per cent.
*No Surcharge in all above cases. Education and SHE cess will be applicable
