New form 16a Format

12 July 2010 R/Sir,

i want to know the new tds form 16a is needed to fill the CIT (TDS) detail.Please tell me what detail i can fill & submit the return.

is it the juridiction detail of ITO,ward no.or the CIT code,address etc. Please tell me in depth sir.

12 July 2010 It contains the address of the commissioner of Income Tax who looks after the TDS matters for your area in which you are registered.
Consult the Income Tax office at the ward where you are registered.

what is exactly need to show in form 16a.
ITO AREA
ITO Ward
ITO Jurisdiction Address
PIN Code.......etc......

12 July 2010 Its not ITO, rather it is Commissioner of Income Tax (CIT).

In Income Tax, apart from ITO there are Commisioner of income tax for every area who looks after the TDS matters of the assesses under their jurisdiction. You are required to give the address detail of that address.
Normally, CIT(TDS) address is the same as your ITO jurisdiction. But you confirm it from Public Relation Officer by telling your area. Also, check the income tax website, you may also get the jurisdiction area on it.
