can i use new form 16 for the AY 2010-11?

Kindly help me out...whether the new format of form 16 and 16A (as per CBDT notification No.31, 2009) is applicable to this assessment year i.e,AY ?
2010-2011?

03 February 2010 Till UTNs and Form 17 are made mandatory, new Form 16 cannot be used. The basic data itself to fill the form is not available
