Sir,
My Firm name was Udayam Steel Corporation, now i wanted to change into Udayam Steels, i wanted to know can i use my old pan number for this Udayam Steels. There is not changes in any other classes.
My query is can i apply for PAN Name correction ?

Yes, the PAN will remain the same.
If your firm is proprietory, then there is no PAN of firm it is your individual PAN which is quoted every where.Then there is no need to even apply for change in name.
If it is partnership firm, then you should go for correcting name by filling the PAN correction form.

My doubts is Udayam Steel Corporation is name and sytle of the firm, if i am changing into Udayam Steels, how can u say Name correction is possible.
If your a banker will agree? and you can have your old a/c number but new name will appear in your pass book?

By amending partnership deed, you will change the name then why Banker will not agree, as the other thing is same there is no change in constitution of firm only name has changed.
