is it necessary/mandatory to pay service Tax online for partnership Firm
&
what about Half yearly Return of Service Tax?

02 July 2010 If the firm has paid service tax of Rs. 10 Lakh or more(by way of cash and utilisation of Cenvat Credit) during the previous year or during the current year, it is compulsory to remit Service Tax by electronic made. This requirement is all assessees, whether partnership or otherwise.

It is mandatory to file online return as well, if the above condition is satisfied.
