Dear Experts
As limit of ceiling has been increased from 350000 to 1000000 as per Payment of gratuity (Amendment) Act 2010, whether this amendment will be applicable to PCC/IPCC for nov 2010 exam
Kindly communicate date on which above bill became act.

Enhancement was made by The Payment of Gratuity (Amendment)Act,2010 dated 18/5/2010. Made effective from 25/05/2010 vide Notification SO.1217(E).
However corresponding amendment in section 10(10)(iii) of the Income tax Act,1961 was made vide Notification 43/2010 dated 11/06/2010 for those employees retired... .. on or after 24/05/2010.

So this amendement will be applicable for all the forthcoming exams of professional courses
