I would like to know whether service tax & VAT can be leived on the same transaction, if yes then please suggest the type & nature of the same.

ONE EXAMPLE IS WORKS CONTRACT.

All contract where sale and service happen to gether, either interlinked or separately but at one complete contract, both the said taxes will apply. With some exceptions.
