one of my clients, not able to file his company return ITR6 for AY 2012-13. pls suggest me how can i go head in this regard for filing company return either online or manual...

If there is refund file manual return on the strength of CBDT Circular 9/2015 dated 09-06-2015, otherwise no chance to file voluntarily.

How can i approach IT department. Can u give me the detail procedure for it, Since my client is having nominal amount of refund which is below Rs.5000/-

actually, if there is no refund, then it is simple to file. Just fill the manual return and submit it to the jurisdictional AO.
They will stamp the ITR-V as confirmation of receipt. In case they wish to raise any query, 142(1) notice shall be issued.
