04 February 2013 A COT dealer under Karnataka VAT is not permitted to make a interstate purchases and hence the question for issue of C form may not arise.

04 February 2013 sir der is a circular/notification issued under karnataka vat act whereby COT dealer can issue C form on purchase of capital goods viz. macinery etc. on inter state purchase. do u hav any info regarding dat circular/notificaton. pls share thanking u

05 February 2013 The act has specific restriction on a COT dealer that they cannot make any kind of interstate purchases. Only exception being a Composition dealer under construction contract, who are permitted to make interstate purchases against issue of C form. (Brought as amendment to sale definition vide Finance Act, 2002)
