Folks,
My friend is working as a doctor in a Pvt hospital, Monthly employer is deducting 10% of income as TDS U/S 194 J. Can he use ITR 1 for filing the return??

No. ITR-3 / ITR-4 may be used.

His gross receipts can is close to 6 L.P.A. Can he prefer Sec 44ADA- under which he can pay 8% of gross receipts??

Yes, he can declare income u/s. 44ADA, but with minimum 50% profit margin.
