08 November 2010 IF I PURCHASED ZERO RATE ITEM FROM OTHER DEALER OUT SIDE STATE . IS THERE ANY COMPULSON ON US TO ISSUE C. FORM TO SUCH DEALER.

08 November 2010 Yes , It is compulsory to issue form "C", in case of inter state purchase.

08 November 2010 when you purchase the goods from Interstate which are exempted from levy of taxes. No need to issue C Form.
The purpose of issue of C form is to get concession in tax rate.
If the goods in question are not taxable in the state of sale, then even in interstate sale, there cannot be tax. And hence no need to issue C form.
