04 August 2015 Linking of Aadhar with PAN has been introduced to eliminate filing of ITR-V with CPC. If PAN is linked to Aadhar, the status of return can be e-verified, if mobile number is registered for Aadhar enrolment.However, name, date of birth, gender as per PAN database and Aadhar card should be the same , to link Aadhar to PAN. In most of the cases, PAN and Aadhar name differ. Such assessees can opt to file ITR-V with CPC as they used to do all these years.
