21 November 2011 I have received letter from IT department for the assessment year 2009-2010.

Net amount payable / Refundable is given as 16600

Arrears Adjusted is given as 0

Please let me know if this is refund or i need to pay this amount.

Letter is neither enclosed with Cheque (for refund) or Chellan (for tax payment)

Kindly clarify. Thanks

22 November 2011 Hi,Generally plus figures are refund but go thru the letter from top to down & see total liability & tax paid .You will get a clear picture.
