Interest to unsecured loan

This query is : Resolved

Quick Summary
Interest paid on unsecured loans from friends or relatives in March 2020 is tax-deductible, even if the payment occurs in April 2020. TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) must be deducted if the annual interest exceeds £5,000. The standard deadline for March 2020 TDS payments was 30th April 2020, but this could be deferred until 30th June 2020, though interest would accrue during this delay.
