one of my client received a notice u/s 148.
so, i am going to file income tax return u/s 148 for the assessment year 2008-09 & 2009-10.
So, kindly suggest me whether i can file that return manually or online.
Point of consideration : Department providing the utility for the said assessment year.

Please login to IT Dept site and check in 'compliance' tab. Your AY will be activated for filing.

I have checked in compliance Tab it shows that no compliance record relating to filing of return has been generated in ur case.
