18 April 2026 Good Afternoon Dear Experts, I have filed my ITR AY 2021-22 on 31.03.2022 and ITRV Acknowledgement niether sent by me after the filing nor validated with EVC/OTP. Now I have sent the ITR V Acknowledgement signed copy last week. The same is received by CPC and marked Invalid as Prescribed time limit is over. So, my question is that, what can I do for complete the process of my ITR because there is a refund amount of Rs. 50,000/-. Please help

18 April 2026 Since the AY 2021-22 return was not verified within the prescribed time, it is treated as invalid. The immediate remedy is to login to the income-tax portal and raise a Condonation Request for delay in submission of ITR-V / delay in e-verification. If the department accepts the reason for delay, the return can be validated and refund processed. If the option is unavailable or rejected, relief may have to be explored through the condonation mechanism under section 119(2)(b), subject to department approval.
