Income tax return ay 11-12

11 October 2011 This is regarding income tax return of AY 11-12.

Original Income Tax return has been filed online on 31-7-2011
Revised Income Tax return has been filed online on 27-09-2011.

On 04-10-2011 the assessee received email from Income Tax CPC attached with intimation u/s 143(1) pertaining to the ORIGINAL return of income filled by my friend on 31-7-11. This intimation is dated 19-09-2011 but received on 04-10-2011.

I would like to know what will be the effect of revised return filed on 27-09-2011 - at that time the intimation was not received.
