Dear sir,
I would like to know that i have reced salary and insurance commission as income in the financial year 08-09 so which type of form to be filled for income tax return. and if i submit my return before 31/01/10 can any penalty imposed me from department of not? please help me it is very urgent

ITR-2 is enough provided the insurance commission is shown under the head'income from other sources'. No penalty will be levied for late filing in the cited issue.

ITR-2, FOR FY 2008-09 YOU HAVE TIME STILL MARCH 31ST 2011 TO FILE THE RETURN...
