I have received a Income tax intimation U/S 143(1) Notice for Tax of Rs.2431/-, I can not understand what to do. I have to pay or not?
My Income Tax Return Detail
Salary Rs.55920 + Other Income Rs,119787 + Agriculture Income Rs.25400 + Deduction VIA Rs.16800 - Tax Free Agriculture Income Rs.25400/-

I have calculated tax based on yr data. It is clear that the Department has not exempted Agricultural Income. You can file an appeal against IT Department.
