Dear All,
One of our client having its regd office in US has a branch office in India got closed voluntarily under Easy exit scheme 2011. Now my question is whether IT filing has to be done, if so when and what is the procedure for this. Pls help

IT APPEARS THAT THE CO HAS DISCONTINUED ITS BUSINESS IN INDIA
IF YES THEN U SHLD HAVE GIVEN NOTICE OF DISCONTINUANCE TO AO WITHIN 15 DAYS OF CLOSURE
HOWEVER U SHLD FILE RETURN FOR THE PERIOD UNTIL WHICH BUSINESS WAS IN OPERATION '
