Inclusion of bank guarantee in cost of Fixed Assets...

26 September 2010 Dear Experts,
Is it possible to add the bank guarantee in the cost of Fixed Assets?
As far as i know since it does not involve any cash outflow it cannot be added.
Pls. guide me whether i am right or not...

26 September 2010 you are right, bank guarantee is one type of security for performance or payment, so it will not part of Fixed asset
