My grandfather was a co-karta/ joint karta in a HUF with my great grand father. now, with the death of his parents, will the HUF still exist?
also, can it merge with an existing HUF in his name?
also, can it merge with an existing HUF in his name?

A HUF does not cease to exist with the death of the Karta. The eldest son of the Karta becomes the karta.
