Dear Experts,
The Karta has paid the LIC Premium on himself in his own name from his own personal account Rs. 150,000. He claimed 80C of Rs. 75,000 in his personal file and balance Rs. 75,000 in HUF being the karta? Can he do so?
Also he has invested Rs. 50,000 in PPF and claimed 25000 each equally in his personal file and HUF? Can he do so?

he can claim only if investment is out of huf's fund not otherwise.
