Dear Sir
I want to get a benefit of HRA 2500 per month.
1) Please advice me as per IT rule can I submit any proof to my organization (Light bill or Agreement)
If yes / No which section.
2) If I am stay with my parents can I claim HRA Pl mention section?
Under which Section the rule is covered about just giving the receipt & not the light bill as well as agreement
as my Employer aksing for the same

Case 1 : If you want to get benefit of HRA, you need to submit Rent Receipts signed by your House Owner. Light Bill is not required.
Case 2 : If you are staying with your parents, you can pay Rent to your parents as well. If you pay rent to your father, he needs to show this rental income in his IT Return. If your parents are co-owners, and your mother has non-taxable income, then it is better to pay rent to your mother.
