one of my friend joined a new company . previously she was not working. this is the first job. she is paying rent of Rs. 6500/-.pm. actual HRA fm the employer is Rs. 1500 per month. so while calculating HRA Exemption , can the rent paid for the 12 months be taken or only for 5 months i.e nov to march.

Rent paid after Joining the employment shall be taken in to consideration for the purpose of calculating HRA.. No need to tak 12 year or 50 Years As such
