Howto fill form st-1 service tax for proprietorship

31 August 2011 Dear exert,

Mr.Pankaj Goyal is a tata docomo distributor..he wants to get register for service tax.. his proprietorship name is ABC Enterprise..

now question is..

what should i fill in name of the applicant..? whether it is ABC enterrises or Pankaj Goyal?

31 August 2011 Service tax registration is linked to PAN of the applicant. In the case of proprietary concern's PAN will be in the name of the proprietor. Therefore in ST-1 , name of the applicant should be filled as Pankaj Goyal in the given case.
