i want to know financial year 2010-2011 total collection service tax than payment to service tax department but year 2011-2012 what changes service tax payment system plz reply

08 April 2012 In Financial year, the method of collection of service tax changed.
Earlier, the liability to pay service tax arose only after receipt of payment but now the ST has to paid as and when the income is booked in the books of accounts.
point of taxation rules have come into effect from the f. y 2011-12, which makes liable to pay service tax when actual invoice is raised to the party of receipt of payment whichever is earlier.

09 April 2012 Amit is correct but the tax payment on accrual is exempted to those whose gross turnover does not exceed 50 lac is the new amendment in finance bill 2012 otherwise it is to be paid on the date of raising the bill

10 April 2012 thanks for reply please solved this example if suppose that biil rase april month 10 lakh and service tax 1 lakh part receipt 9 lakh than what amount paid dervice tax department
