Interest for self occupied property can be claimed till the limit of 180,000/- while principal payment can be claimed u/s 80C (80C has overall limit of 100,000 only)

09 April 2012 Interest Accrued As per the istallment schedule of the bank is available for deduction.
In case of SOP Rs.150000 is the maximum limit and in case of let out property there is no limit.

deduction of Princial amount is available in U/s 80C.
