I am working as Senior Accountant in Exports company, we are doing the business in basmati rice, local selling & exporting the basmati rice, i want to know the gst is applicable are not, what is the % of gst on basmati rice if applicable.

15 April 2017 As of now the rate structure has not been approved but it is expected that there will be a four-tier GST tax structure of 5%, 12%, 18% and 28% .As far as your commodity is concerned the rate will be known only when government will specify the goods and services falling under various rates as mentioned above.

17 May 2017 Thank You very much Sir, I have one more query our company is selling the basmati rice in hyderabad local also, in 1Kg,2Kg & 5Kg Pack we are taken Bare code service from GS1 and every year we have to renew the GS1 Barcode Service, i want to know is TDS is Applicable on GS1 Barcode service, if it is then under which Section of tds and what is the percentage
