Gst credit of before registration date

Hi Everyone..
if i have received GST Registration Certificate on 27th September 2017, and i have purchase some goods from vendor before 27th September (i.e. between 1st september to 26th September)..
My question is whether can i take credit of good purchase 1st September to 26th September. if we can take then pls explain how we should fill in GSTR - 2 because in GSTR - 2 purchase date before 27th September is not catching.

But i have taken fresh GST Registration and business is commencement on 1st September 2017. and Trans - 1 is for existing Register dealer of Sales Tax and Service Tax...

sometimes to follow the practical way is better. If you want to stick to the RULES, then just ignore/forget ITC for the purchases made in the month of Sept but before the date of registration.

Hi Ankit,
If you have taken voluntary registration then you can avail the credit from the date you received the certificate. But if you have taken mandatory Registration then you can take 30 days prior you applied for registration. Feel free to contact for further clarification at 9836144143
